Introducing the LevelEditor developed in house and currently used in game production on PARASITE. One of the key features offered by this software is the ability to integrate advanced animated scenes from Maya into Unity. Notably, artists can update content and assets in Maya and then use the editor to update the Unity scene animation, geometry, materials and textures. Effectively, this offers a Maya to Unity pipeline where Maya content is imported and updated by reference.

The standard Unity fbx import lacks some important features like non-bone animation import for such things as simple UI animation. In addition, materials do not always translate and textures are often lost. Finally, Unity and Maya use a different coordinate system for 3D space. The present LevelEditor has proven to be a valuable asset and internal tool to resolve these issues.
